Racines

racines.png

"A family moving to a new country is like a transplanted plant;
it must slowly rebuild its roots and firmly anchor itself in the new soil,
using its resources to grow."

PROJECT GOAL

The aim of the ‘Racines’ project is to support asylum-seeking families living in reception facilities, to help them with their integration process in Luxembourg.

Our idea is to work with the whole family, from toddlers to supporting parents.

At the heart of our work is support for young people (children, teenagers and young adults) in their schooling and for their parents in parenthood and linguistic integration.

In addition to the young people living in the family facilities, we also provide support to a number of unaccompanied minors.

OUR ACTIONS

• Every week, we will be alongside children, adolescents, and young adults to help them with their homework and languages learning.

• We will also be offering languages courses for parents, as well as useful training to help them make the most of all the opportunities available to their children and to help the whole family integrate better.

• We will also organize regular recreational activities to help families integrate into the host country.

PROJECT DURATION
01/02/2025 - 31/01/2029

WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET INVOLVED?

  • Are you fluent in French, Luxembourgish, or German?

  • Do you want to participate in recreational activities for young people?

  • Are you flexible, creative, and curious?
